MaxxVault Enterprise is a simple to set up and easy to use software tool for the management of documents and electronic files with a slick interface with powerful features. Take a peek under the hood.
XHTML – XHTML-based forms are used to display input fields on MFP panels. A wide variety of input controls can be shown.
SOAP – Communication between MaxxVault and an MFP is based on SOAP protocol.
Imaging – MaxxVault uses high-performance image-enhancement technology with more than 15 years of development behind it. Advanced image cleaning and enhancement features as well as all industry-standard compression types are available: LZW, JPEG, TIFF, G3, G4 and more. Export to wide variety of formats, such as Tiff, JPEG, PCX, PDF, DCX, bmp, PNG, and many more.
Barcodes – Bringing high-end bar code recognition to the scanning process opens up a whole new world in document automation. Includes 2D bar code recognition, which is often used to store a large amount of data (up to 3000 characters). Features document-routing technology based on bar code recognition as well.
OCR – High-performance OCR with a variety of formats. Transform scanned documents to popular editable formats such as searchable PDF, MS Word, MS Excel or Text. Support of the new format for long-term preservation (PDF/A). PDF encryption and security/password protection.
Database – Standard ODBC is supported by 98% of all databases on the market today. Flexible configurations are achieved by using the SQL language to access database content.
LDAP – Lightweight Directory Access Protocol supported by most email servers, such as Microsoft Exchange, Novell Groupwise, Lotus Notes, Linux and Unix systems. Use LDAP for integration with email servers but also in a general database approach. For example, use the LDAP server to query address data from a Lotus Notes database.
XML and XSL – Output of all indexing information to XML — including full-text OCR. As an industry standard, XML is often used to transfer information from scanned documents to third-party systems. The integrated XSL-based transformation engine can output any kind of XML format, which enables MaxxVault to output any required XML structure required by a third-party DMS or database system.
MS Exchange Server – Microsoft MAPI-compatible Exchange Server connector integrates perfectly with Outlook.
E-mail – SMTP protocol enables MaxxVault to send email using any email server: Linux, Exchange Server, Unix, Novell, Lotus Notes, or Mac.
Active Directory – for user and password authentication.
SharePoint Integration – Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services is a versatile technology that helps teams stay connected and productive by providing easy access to the people, documents, and information they need. SharePoint Services also provides a foundation platform for building web-based tools and services to meet individual business needs.
